Avoid Cleaners

Firstly, it’s important to avoid using both liquid and saturated wipe-type cleaners that contain harsh ingredients. Ingredients such as alcohol (isopropyl), chlorine, ethanol, benzene, peroxide, or salts could cause discoloration and crack on the keys.

Instead, an easy substitution is to use 3-4 clean microfiber cloths and some dishwashing soap and follow these easy steps:

  1. Using lukewarm water and a small amount of dishwashing soap, dampen the microfiber cloth and ring out any excess water. Gently wipe down the keys. A great technique is to wipe towards yourself.
  2. Next, wet the microfiber cloth in lukewarm water only. Again, make sure there is no excess water left in the fabric before beginning the cleaning.
  3. Lastly, use a completely dry microfiber cloth to wipe down the keys in the same motion. This step will ensure there is no moisture left on the keys.

Keep Your Hands Clean
