The Yamaha P115 is one of the top-selling digital pianos from Yamaha; A portable digital piano that makes playing the piano feel authentic. This piano replaced the previous P-105 model and has made great efforts to improve the piano in every way. Let’s take a look at everything about the Yamaha P115:

The Design

The Yamaha P115 has a very convenient, portable, and compact design. The size of the P115 is similar to the P-45. Specifically, the P115 is 52.2 inches wide, 11.6 inches deep, and 6.4 inches high without a stand. This sized piano is perfect for any small room since it does not take up too much floor space.

Although you may need to be a piano stand separately, the P-115 is flexible for a desk/ table. If you’re looking to buy a stand, the X-type stand is a great option or the L85 furniture stand.

The Keyboard

The P115 offers 88 fully weighted keys, and are made from a glossy and matte plastic finish. The keyboard action is Graded Hammer Standard and will make you feel like you’re playing an acoustic piano. When playing the piano with graded hammer action, the keys feel heavy, which also helps build proper finger strength and techniques for beginners.

The Yamaha P115 is also touch-sensitive, which allows the piano player to play harder or softer to control the dimensions. If you want to adjust the level of touch sensitivity on your P115 to fit your playing style, you have four preset setting options: Hard, Medium (default), Soft, and Fixed.

The Sound

The P115 digital piano comes with Yamaha’s propriety Pure CF sound engine, which is also used in the P-line flagship, the P-255. The Purse CF sound engine gives the P115 a compelling sound because of the sound source from the Yamaha CFIIIS 9′ Concert Grand.

For its price range, the P115 offers one of the BEST piano sounds you can get. The Grand Paino tone provides a very realistic and rich piano sound with its resonance and decay.

The 14 instrument sounds available on the P-115:

  •  3 Electric Pianos
  •  Vibraphone
  •  3 Organs (Jazz, Pipe, Rock)
  • 3 Grand Pianos
  • Strings

The Speakers

The P115 comes with two dedicated true-circle speakers that convey rich low frequencies. The speaker’s system consists of 2 x 12cm + 2 x 4cm speakers (7W + 7Wamplifiers). For the speakers’ size, it has a very nice sound and is perfect for casual practicing or performing for family or friends. You can also connect the P115 to external speakers or an amplifier for bigger rooms and performances.
