Description
Bring the FP-40 Home as a Complete Piano Setup
The Roland FP-40 Home Bundle in White takes the portable FP-40 and turns it into a more complete home piano.
Instead of choosing the piano first and sorting out the stand, pedals, and seating separately, this bundle brings the essential pieces together in one coordinated setup. It includes the Roland FP-40, the matching KSF-40-WH stand, the KPD-70 three-pedal unit, and an On-Stage KB8802B Keyboard/Piano Bench, all in white.
For families, students, and adults who already know the piano will have a dedicated place in the home, that makes the FP-40 easier to picture as part of everyday life.
A More Traditional Home Piano Experience
The FP-40 itself is slim and portable, but the matching KSF-40-WH stand gives it a more permanent furniture-style presentation.
Add the KPD-70 three-pedal unit, and the setup moves closer to the playing arrangement of an acoustic piano. The pedal unit provides damper, sostenuto, and soft pedal functions, giving developing pianists access to a traditional three-pedal layout as their repertoire and technique advance.
The included On-Stage KB8802B Keyboard/Piano Bench completes the basic playing setup, so you are not left searching for seating after the piano arrives.
Everything in the bundle is finished in white for a clean, coordinated appearance.
88 Weighted Keys with Room to Develop
At the center of the bundle is Roland's PHA-4 Standard Keyboard, an 88-key weighted hammer action with escapement, Ivory Feel key surfaces, and triple-sensor detection.
That triple-sensor system helps the keyboard recognize repeated notes more accurately, which becomes increasingly useful as a player's technique develops. Five adjustable touch-sensitivity settings plus fixed touch also allow the response to be adapted to the player.
For a student, this means the FP-40 is not simply an electronic keyboard with 88 keys. It is built around a weighted piano action designed to support dynamics, articulation, and more expressive control.
Piano Reality Sound and Built-In Speakers
The FP-40 uses Roland's Piano Reality Sound Engine, combining sampled piano sounds with selected modeling technologies to reproduce elements such as natural decay, resonance, tonal variation, and dynamic response.
A newly engineered speaker system uses two 8 x 12 cm speakers powered by 12 watts per side. Roland designed the layout to provide clear sound with greater depth and richness in the lower register.
The FP-40 includes 305 internal tones in total. Forty are accessible directly from the piano, with an additional 265 available through the Roland Piano App.
So while acoustic piano playing remains the focus, there is plenty of additional sound material available when you want to explore.
Piano Sphere Helps Give Practice Direction
One of the most notable features of the FP-40 is its integration with Piano Sphere, Roland's learning app developed with Skoove.
Piano Sphere offers step-by-step learning, personalized guidance, real-time feedback, songs, and progress tools designed to keep players engaged. The FP-40 includes a dedicated Piano Sphere button that can provide immediate visual feedback while you play.
The included Piano Sphere experience provides access to 100 songs and three guided courses, ranging from beginner through advanced, without requiring an ongoing subscription. An optional upgrade expands the available content to more than 1,000 songs and lessons.
For a new player, that gives the piano another useful role beyond simply waiting for lesson assignments. There is material available to explore between lessons, work toward goals, and keep playing consistently.
Ready for Quiet Practice and Connected Learning
Home pianos need to work around real households.
Plug in headphones and the FP-40 becomes a private practice instrument, allowing someone to play early in the morning, later at night, or while someone else is working nearby. Roland's Piano Reality Headphones Ambience is included to create a more immersive headphone experience.
Bluetooth Audio/MIDI and USB-C provide additional ways to connect smartphones, tablets, and computers for music playback, apps, recording, and other learning tools. The USB-C Mobile/PC connection supports USB MIDI and audio and can also provide power to compatible USB Power Delivery smartphones.
The FP-40 even supports a headset microphone, making it useful for online lessons, streaming, and video creation without requiring an unnecessarily complicated setup.
Who Is the FP-40 Home Bundle For?
This bundle makes particular sense when portability is useful, but you still want the piano to feel settled and intentional in your home.
A beginning student gets an 88-key weighted instrument with structured learning tools. An advancing player gets triple-sensor key detection and a full three-pedal setup. Parents get a compact digital piano that can be played through headphones. Adults returning to piano get a straightforward instrument that works just as well for quiet evening practice as it does for connected learning.
And because the stand, pedal unit, and bench are already included, the setup feels complete from the beginning.
At Miller Piano Specialists, we can help you compare the FP-40 with other Roland digital pianos and home-piano configurations so you can choose based on the player, the room, and your long-term musical plans.
MPS digital pianos are also supported by our 2-year digital trade-up program, giving you flexibility if your musical needs change as you progress.
Piano Sphere
Piano Sphere includes personalized learning features, real-time feedback, progress and streak tracking, songs, and guided courses. The included experience provides access to 100 songs and three courses without an ongoing subscription. An optional content upgrade provides access to more than 1,000 songs and lessons.
Piano Sphere availability, supported languages, content, and device compatibility vary by region and device.
