The most beautiful thing about music is how it is a universal language. Every culture has a different sense of musical expression, and despite the language barriers, every language can understand the music. Playing the piano has also been proven to help increase brain activity and learn a foreign language. So if you’re interested in learning music, you could also learn another language while you’re at it.

You Become A Multi-Tasker

One of the most difficult things about learning to play the piano is developing good coordination between your left and right hands while reading music. While you practice and get better at the piano, you will notice how your piano hand coordination develops and how effectively you can split your concentration.

Some studies have shown that people who play the piano have higher levels of human growth hormone.  For example, a study done at the University of Miami found that the group of people they tested who took piano lessons had significantly higher HGH levels than the control group that did not.  Did you know that higher HGH levels in a person translate into increased energy levels? These higher levels can body aches and pains that come with old age. Playing the piano can also help your blood pressure, ease your heart and mind physically and spiritually, and even strengthen your immune system.
