The little things matter too
Something not quite right?
Most piano owners don’t know whether every small change needs attention.
You shouldn’t have to diagnose the piano yourself or hesitate to get it looked at because you’re unsure of what it could cost.
Spruce Piano Care gives you a piano service team to call. If it’s a quick covered adjustment, we’ll come fix it, up to 3 times per membership year. If the piano needs something more involved, your technician can explain what’s happening and what your options are before additional work is performed.
Less guessing. Better care.
A fair question
Why not just schedule two tunings?
You absolutely can.
But Spruce Piano Care is designed for piano owners who want more than two appointments on a calendar.
Regular visits give your technician the opportunity to become more familiar with your piano, document its condition, notice changes over time, and help you make informed decisions when something needs additional attention.
Spruce Piano Care turns occasional piano service into an ongoing care relationship.
Eligibility
Most pianos qualify.
Every Spruce Piano Care membership begins with an assessment by a Miller Piano Specialists technician.
We use that first visit to understand the piano’s condition, document a baseline, and determine whether it is a good fit for ongoing plan coverage.
Pianos that have been severely neglected or have structural problems that prevent normal servicing may require additional work or may not be eligible. If a piano does not qualify, the assessment portion of the initial visit remains non-refundable.

When was your piano last tuned?
If you had to stop and think about it, Spruce Piano Care may be exactly what you need.
Piano maintenance is easy to put off. Work gets busy. School starts. The holidays arrive. Another season passes.
Spruce Piano Care makes staying on top of it much simpler.
You play it. We’ll help you care for it.
Why regular care matters
Pianos change.
Regular care keeps up.
Pianos respond to changes in use and environment. In Middle Tennessee, seasonal conditions can affect tuning stability and how an instrument feels and performs.
Because tuning changes often happen gradually, your piano may still seem fine even after it has drifted noticeably from where it should be.
Stay in tune
Regular tuning helps the instrument stay more musically consistent through seasonal changes.
Notice issues sooner
Routine service gives your technician a chance to identify developing problems before they become more involved.
Maintain playability
Small adjustments over time can help keep the piano more enjoyable to play.
Build a service history
Written reports create a useful record of your piano’s ongoing care.

Questions, answered
Frequently asked questions.
What’s included in Spruce Piano Care?
Spruce Piano Care includes tuning benefits, minor-issue coverage, 15% savings on most piano technical services and parts, up to three complimentary covered-service visits per membership year, and a complete service history for your piano.
Monthly members earn one tuning credit every six months of continuous active membership. Annual members receive two tuning credits immediately, intended for use about six months apart.
The 15% member discount does not apply to piano moving, storage, rentals, or third-party services.
What if my piano needs a pitch raise?
Spruce tuning credits cover standard tunings. Pitch raises or rough tunings are billed separately with the 15% member discount. Once your piano is on a regular six-month tuning schedule, it may be less likely to need a pitch raise in the future, though that is not guaranteed.
How does the Monthly Plan work?
The Monthly Plan is $30/month. Your first payment also includes the required Initial Tuning + Kickoff Assessment add-on, which confirms eligibility and establishes a baseline for ongoing care.
After that, you earn one tuning credit every six months of continuous active membership. If membership is canceled, tuning-credit accrual stops.
How does the Annual Plan work?
The Annual Plan is $300/year and includes two tuning credits available immediately, intended for use about six months apart.
Your first credit is used for your initial tuning and kickoff assessment. The second is available for your next tuning.
At our regular $190 tuning rate, two standalone tunings would cost $380, so the Annual Plan saves $80 on tuning alone before counting the plan’s additional benefits.
What if my piano doesn’t qualify?
Most pianos qualify. Your kickoff assessment allows our technician to document the piano’s condition and confirm eligibility. Older or neglected pianos, instruments that cannot be tuned normally or do not hold tune, and pianos with significant structural issues may require additional work or may not qualify. If the piano is not eligible, the assessment portion of the initial visit remains non-refundable.
What counts as a covered minor issue?
Covered minor issues are small service needs that can typically be resolved quickly, such as certain sticking keys, pedal squeaks, or minor playability adjustments. If the issue requires additional time, parts, tuning, or more extensive repair work, additional charges may apply. We’ll explain what’s needed and provide an estimated cost before proceeding. Eligible additional work receives the 15% Spruce Piano Care member discount.
How do the complimentary visits work?
Members may receive up to three complimentary visits per membership year for covered minor services, with the minimum service fee waived (normally $125).
If the visit requires additional work outside the covered minor issue, such as parts, tuning, or a more involved repair, additional charges may apply. Eligible additional services and parts receive the member discount.
Do I really need two tunings each year?
Regular tuning is an important part of acoustic piano care. Many piano makers and technicians recommend tuning about twice per year, depending on the instrument and its environment.
In Middle Tennessee, seasonal shifts in humidity and temperature can affect tuning stability and cause a piano to drift more quickly. Because those changes often happen gradually, a piano may still sound acceptable even after it has moved noticeably out of tune.
Spruce Piano Care makes it easier to stay on a consistent maintenance schedule, while regular service helps keep the piano enjoyable to play and gives your technician a chance to address small issues before they become more involved.
Is Spruce Piano Care just a way to sell me more piano service?
No. Spruce is designed to make routine piano care easier to stay on top of while giving you added value for maintaining your piano consistently. If additional work is recommended, your technician will explain what the piano needs and why before that work is performed.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No contract is required. Monthly membership can be canceled at any time, and you can cancel future Annual Plan renewal according to the plan terms. Benefits and tuning-credit accrual are available only while membership remains active and paid. Any Annual Plan refund eligibility depends on services already used and the applicable plan terms.
Can churches, schools, studios, or multi-piano customers join?
Yes. Custom Spruce plans are available for churches, schools, studios, venues, multiple-piano households, and customers who need more frequent service. Call or text (615) 771-0020 to talk through your needs.
Is my piano inside the service area?
Spruce Piano Care is available for qualifying pianos within 50 miles of our Nashville showroom at 3656 Trousdale Dr, Suite 111. If you’re unsure whether your location qualifies, call or text (615) 771-0020.
How do I get started?
Choose the Monthly or Annual Plan online. A member of our team will then contact you to schedule your first visit, typically within 24 hours if it isn’t already scheduled. For Custom Plans or questions before joining, call or text (615) 771-0020.
