Do you know that there are between five to ten thousand moving parts on a traditional acoustic piano? Some of the most important parts are the keysticks, which is where you play the piano, and this part is visible on the front of the instrument, along with the hammer head, the hammer shank, the whippet assembly and the back shank. This upper portion of the piano action is called the stack, and this is where most of the mechanics are located. All of these parts are precisely built, and adjusted and regulated to give you a great music experience. One of our most popular features on yamaha pianos is practice/mute petal which quites the piano down to be more fun to listen to.
