About Joseph Fleetwood
Scottish concert pianist Joseph Lionel Fleetwood is distinguished by his tonal depth, clarity of texture, and strongly shaped musical line. His repertoire spans Bach’s Partitas to the monumental works of Rachmaninoff.
He has performed throughout Europe and the United States, appearing in major musical centers including Vienna, Milan, London, Glasgow, and Edinburgh.
His performances have been broadcast on BBC television and BBC Radio Scotland, and his acclaimed recordings continue to reach audiences internationally.
The Piano: Seiler SE278 Konzert
For this performance, Joseph will play the exact 2015 Seiler SE278 Konzert Grand he reviewed at the 2020 NAMM Show.
Hand-built in Kitzingen, Germany, this 9’2″ flagship concert grand represents the pinnacle of Seiler’s Konzert Series and more than 175 years of German piano craftsmanship.
Originally hand-selected by Seiler as their premier touring concert grand, this instrument traveled internationally as the company’s showcase piano before appearing at NAMM in Anaheim, where Joseph evaluated it firsthand.
In his published review, Fleetwood praised the piano for its full, rounded tone, excellent sustain, great clarity, incredibly pure, sweet sound, amazing glow in the treble, and remarkable tonal control.
This same world-class instrument now resides in our Nashville showroom, offering audiences the rare opportunity to hear both artist and instrument reunite years later.
